Gold Finance reported that U.S. President Trump talked again about the fate of Federal Rezerv (FED) Chairman Powell during an interview on Friday local time. He stated that he "most likely" will not dismiss him before Powell's term ends, as someone advised him not to do so, arguing that "it would disrupt the market." "I wouldn't hesitate for a second to remove him," Trump said, "but they say it would disrupt the market, and anyway, in seven or eight months, he will be gone, and then I will replace him with my own person." Earlier on Friday, Trump also said that Powell should resign like Federal Reserve Board member Adriana Kugler.
