Unity Software dips despite Q2 beat Aug. 06, 2025

Shares of Unity Software (NYSE:U) fell about 4% premarket on Wednesday despite second quarter results beating estimates.

Adjusted EPS for the second quarter ended June 30 declined 18% year-over-year to $0.18, while revenue dipped about 2% to $441M. Both top and bottom line numbers surpassed analysts' expectations.

"Results once again exceeded expectations, substantially beating the high-end of our guidance for both revenue and Adjusted EBITDA. Our new AI platform, Unity Vector, is transforming our growth prospects, delivering 15% sequential growth in the Unity Ad Network during the second quarter," said Unity's President and CEO Matt Bromberg.

Create Solutions revenue grew 2% year-over-year to $154M mainly driven by the sale of a term license for about $12M and increases in subscription revenue. Growth was negatively impacted by decreases in non-strategic professional services revenue and consumption services revenue, according to the company.

Grow Solutions revenue fell 4% year-over-year to $287M.

Outlook:
Unity expects third quarter revenue to be between $440M and $450M (midpoint at $445M), versus consensus of $445.12M.
